Ms. Pheobe Applon

Community Youth Development Director

Pheobe E. Applon is an Educator, Youth Activist, and Community Youth Development Director at the University of North Texas at Dallas. Native to Bedford, TX, she has served communities spanning throughout Tarrant and Dallas Counties. Holding 7+ years of experience in empowering youth and families, Pheobe serves to reshape lives for the better through active involvement and support.

 

Pheobe holds a BA in English Language and Literature with a minor in Technical Writing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Following this, she embarked on her professional journey as an educator and has worked extensively with Youth, Pre-K through 12th grade. Pheobe shares a background in program facilitation and afterschool curriculum support and fuses her passion and knowledge by engendering next-generation leaders. 

 

In addition, Pheobe is committed to continuous education and earned a Six Sigma Green Belt Project Management Certification in December 2021. Immediately following, she joined the University of North Texas at Dallas as a Project Coordinator and took charge as the Community Youth Development Program Director in June 2022. As CYD Director, Pheobe partners with non-profits and change agents to nurture growth and create equal opportunities for youth and families in South Dallas and Oak Cliff.
