Ms. Patricia “Pattie” Knight

Community Youth Development Administrative Coordinator

Ms. Knight’s role as the Admin Coordinator is supported by her education and experience in finance and banking. She holds degrees in accounting and computer Programming.  She has worked for multiple financial institutions including Hanover Trust, Bank of Boston, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.  She is currently an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) certified Senior Tax Analyst.

Ms. Knight held several leadership positions while serving youth and families for over 30 years.  Her social services experience included positions in trauma response, domestic violence and human trafficking working for companies such as the Easter Seals, City of Boston, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Boston Children’s Hospital and The Salvation Army.  Ms. Knight is certified in Psychological First Aid with a focus on homicide, violence, and suicide.

Ms. Knight has taught in various academic environments from elementary to high school.  She also spent several years as an adjunct professor for a community college and a private university. Additionally, she spent over 10 years involved in the Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) Program, Child Protective Services, and The Department of Social services as an advocate for children in foster care or the juvenile justice system.

Ms. Knight also attended Simmons College School of Social Work and Mount Holyoke College (both in Massachusetts) with degrees in The Relational and Multi-Contextual Treatment of Trauma, Psychology, and Education.  Along the way, she also managed to be trained as plumber, highway machine operator, and construction contractor.  As part of her continuous education, Ms. Knight is currently enrolled in a Project Management Program and a Cybersecurity Certification training.

Patricia “Pattie” Knight is extremely proud to be a native Bostonian.  She enjoys organizing, shopping, live theater, comedy shows, and concerts. However, her favorite activities include the time spent with her adult daughters and grandbabies (both human and furry).
